Rural Finance Conference 2024
The 8th Rural Finance Conference, organized by Red Katalysis and Red FASCO, was held in San Miguel, El Salvador from April 17th through April 19th, 2024. Tuluni International LLC attended the conference representing a US based social impact fund. We had the dual mission of understanding more about rural finance in Central America as well as meeting current and new Microfinance clients in the region.
Tuluni’s CEO, Joshua Miguel Jongewaard, and Tuluni’s Director of Investments, Keyla Torres, both participated in the conference. The conference covered a wide variety of topics such as corporate governance and local regulations, security and migration, technology and digital transformation, as well as ecological and climate impacts in rural finance.
We also had some traditional food from El Salvador and watched a wonderful traditional dance performance in the evening. We met many of our current clients that traveled from their home countries Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Nicaragua to attend the conference. The 9th Rural Finance Conference will be held in Costa Rica in 2026.
